This is the clock works mechanism that powers the roll and rewinds the finished roll. It will need to be completely torn down cleaned up, Replated and put back together. This is also way down the road.
Take up spool and roll mechanism set aside for later interigation.

This side of the cabinet had been hit by a tractor at some point in time during its stay in the barn. I will be cutting this side out and replacing it with new wood before I replace the veneer.
I am also going to route this bottom section out and replace it before veneering.
This is my screw storage board, because the screws are all different lenghts and I didn't
want them to get mixed up.
Side panel is cut out a routered, I am going to use 6 pieces of wood glued
together with the joints staggered to add strenght.
My wife hard at work so she can say we restored this piano. Stripping the old veneer of was a 2 person job one to hold the heat gun and one to scrape and pull the old veneer off.
Or one to do it all and one to take pictures.
Glueing in the first two boards one can never have enough clamps. (Note to wife)
